I developed a tooth infection and saw a dentist for it but he had to inject me three times before the area was numb enough to touch but when he went to cut into the jaw, I felt it really bad.and I started shaking violently so he stopped and suggested I saw my dr. I took my first dose at 11pm and woke up at 6am with severe itching around the back of my neck, I have hives/rash on my neck, back, arms, legs, hips...everywhere! I have never had a reaction to any medication. I'm calling my doctor as soon as the office opens!

I started taking this drug on a Thursday for an infection in the gum around my crown. The tooth didn't hurt and was not bothering me but I had swelling in the gum. I felt fine until I starting taking this drug. My stomach hurt for hours after taking it and I felt almost like I had the flu. I was prescribed this med for severe strep throat b/c I am allergic to penicillin. I am only on the second day of treatment (300 mg, 2 capsules, twice daily). Soreness in my throat is slightly better. Still very feverish, anxious, and have very bad dry mouth. I've also experienced a lot of pain in my joints, especially my hips and my neck, as well as having very bad tension headaches. My ... Show Full Comment

150mg capsules taken 4 times a day. horrible collitis and my stomach gurgles 24/7. I've allerted the surgeon and stopped taking it. I would be VERY cautions if you are offered this drug.
