I took my first dose at 11pm and woke up at 6am with severe itching around the back of my neck, I have hives/rash on my neck, back, arms, legs, hips...everywhere! I have never had a reaction to any medication. I'm calling my doctor as soon as the office opens!

I started taking this drug on a Thursday for an infection in the gum around my crown. The tooth didn't hurt and was not bothering me but I had swelling in the gum. I felt fine until I starting taking this drug. My stomach hurt for hours after taking it and I felt almost like I had the flu. I was prescribed this med for severe strep throat b/c I am allergic to penicillin. I am only on the second day of treatment (300 mg, 2 capsules, twice daily). Soreness in my throat is slightly better. Still very feverish, anxious, and have very bad dry mouth. I've also experienced a lot of pain in my joints, especially my hips and my neck, as well as having very bad tension headaches. My ... Show Full Comment

They are swollen, red and when you break the whitehead they hurt. I am a week into this side effect with no abating. I even had a few come up on my face. I am allergic to penicillin and am wondering if t ... Show Full Comment
