The medicine started working immediately. I was told by my Medical Dr I had pink eye and after 3 weeks and no results from other drops finally got into an eye specialist. Found out the problem and with these drops I am on the road to recovery

I have had this Infection of the Cornea of the Eye due to Herpes Simplex several times in the last 7 years. I've always used the "Brand" name of Viroptic and it worked perfectly. Within 10 days or less it was gone. However I am on Disability now and I have to use the Generic version of Viroptic, which is "trifluridine opht" by "Falcon Pharmaceuticals". This medication is "Garbage!!" I don't know i...

I have used this medication for 3 days and have not seen any type of improvement. I'm beginning to think I'm having some type of reaction to it. The burning and pain is so bad when I use the drops (every two hours) I'm taking a ibuprophen about 15 minutes before hand to head off the pain. Eye is still very swollen, watering and painful. Lips have tingled and face itches. I'm 62 years old and have never experienced this type of infection before in my life. Perhaps I was misdiagnosed, I do not know.Read More Read Less

So far I just finished day 4 of my treatment with these drops. So I can't really rate it effectively and perhaps I should of waited. Im told 2-3 weeks and the opthomologist said in 2 weeks I should be fine. I'm hoping for a miracle here. I've never had this before, and it came on 2 weeks ago. in left eye. Today as I was at a stop light, for the heck of it I closed my right eye to see how much improvement by looking at the plates of car infront of me. Could NOT make out one letter or number. When I checked my right eye it was perfect as it is normal. Such a scary thing. Ill check back later.Read More Read Less

Trifluridine healed my cornea! I tried taking it one day at a time, and when I think back it didn't take forever. Nothing is more important than my need to see!! With my Doctor and patience, we prevailed!!

This medication is "Garbage!!" I don't know if it's Falcon Pharmaceuticals or what, but this drug is useless. It started to work for a few days, then it just stoped. I was told to use One Drop every three hours, then One Drop 4 times a day, then One Drop 3 a Day. My eye is "Not" getting better, I wake up in the morning and my vision is blurry. After using the medication, (I'm down to 2 Drops a Day), my vision clears up, but my eye Burns and Waters severly. I have been getting Dizzy Spells and Pain in my Right Eye, where the Infection is. I've been blind in my Left eye since Birth. I plan on filing a formal complaint with the FDA and the FTC against Falcon Pharmaceuticals for "Negligence" and making a "Bad" medication. If you get this type of eye infection, use the "Brand Name" of Viroptic. It may cost more,($180.00), but who could put a price on your eye sight!! The Generic eye drops were $90.00.Read More Read Less

have had herpes virus since I was 8 months old; episodes are triggered by mold in the air, ie when weather changes from cold to warm and visa versa. I am now 67 years old and had an outbreak in Fall of 2009.

A week ago I woke up with pink eye, went to the doctor and after 2 days of using antibiotic drops my eye was getting worse. When I returned I was told it most likely a viral infection and he prescribed these drops. They began helping immediately with the itching and "sand in the eye" feeling. My eye is still not completely better but is on its way back to normal.
