I am not at all satisfied with this medication. It gave me such sever heartburn that I thought I was having a heart attack.

I have had good experience, and my bone densisty reports have improved greatly. However, I have been informed by some that I should have stopped taking it after 5 years and would like to know the protocol on that as I have been taking it for 11 years

I have been taking Fosamax for more than 3 years along with calcium plus D tablets. Four months ago, I began having pain in one hip. The orthopedist diagnosed it as bursitus and put me on Voltaren eventually. In January the pain became more pronounced. On the 21st, I awoke and could not walk. I took one pill of fosamax in the morning and by 3am the next morning i woke out of sound sleep with severe back pain. of course i didn't get much sleep that night. i went to work in the morning as usual (just because i had to...i was the only one to do the work). i couldn't figure out where this pain came from, because i hadn't done anything different except take this pill. i use ...
