This was the most scary experience taking Fosamax. The first 70mg. pill taken I was okay. However, the second pill I was a mess.
In the bed for 2 days and could not get out, because the pain in hands, hips, joints was terrible, I had to take Ibuprofen to combat the pain. Hardly could move, nausea etc. Not worth the grief...Buyer be aware of this rx.

Terrible side effects; swelling in my face, water blister in one eye, constant headache, joint pain, breast pain, back pain, and this is after taking only 2 pills. I have discontinued it.

I have taken this med, 70 mg for many, many years. Once a week I take the med at rising, remain up and one hour later I can eat breakfast. This is a bit of a bother. My bone density test now shows I'm my bones density is below normal. Mr Dr advises taking Prolia twice a year.

I began Fosamax in 2005 with a diagnosis of severe osteoporosis of -3.8 at age 53. In 2011,my dexa scan was still-3.3, but I had no fractures. A random Vitamin D blood test showed I was severely deficient of vitamin D. I was put on 4000iu of vitamin D3 daily. My memory improved, my bone pain resolved, foot pain resolved, my vision improved, and urinary incontinence resolved, my diabetes improved!
