I took it 5 years and have been off it 3 years, taken off this poison by a nonAmerican doctor who doesn't buy into the "give-a-pill" theory of medicine. Wellbutrin has changed my brain permanently. I would give anything not to have taken this poison. I'm very sure my Medicare paid for the mags on my first doctor's Porsche. Eat right and exercise. Do not surrender to the "medicines" Rx companies give you. They don't care what it does to your brain. They only care about their profits. PLEASE, PLEASE take this seriously. Or you will be awakening every morning irrationally filled with hate and anger when you never were before. That's where I'm at now. I don't know when it will end. If ever.

After 2 weeks of beginning this medication, I developed severe hives, and pain and swelling of joints all over. It took over 4 weeks to get this medication out of my system- with help of predisone. Horrible experience

Took it for SADD, also stave off another bought of depression. I felt great after the first week. The first week I had hives of my left wrist, right elbow, down the inside of a butt cheek. Then vivid dreams and one hallucination. My libido is still there which I'd why I asked for bupropion. It's been good for the winter months but I can feel the anger and anxiety side effects. Though I am experiencing some mild side effects (memory issues, weird taste in my mouth, some muscle pain in my neck and restlessness at night) overall I do feel it is helping. I've only been taking this medication for 2 weeks. Though I am experiencing some mild side effects (memory issues, weird taste in my mouth, some muscle pain in my neck and restlessness at night) overall I do feel it is helping. Due to menopause issues, I was dealing with severe depression and anxiety. The anxiety is completely gone, even in this short amount of time! I still experience the depression, however it is less than it was. Also, the intense cravings for sweets is gone, though I have not lost weight as others have on Wellbutrin. I'm assuming it (the lessening of the depression) will continue to improve as the weeks go by. I know it takes a while for the clinical dosage to really start working. Considering the good experience I'm already having, I will continue with Wellbutrin. My doctor is working closely with me to make sure all goes well. I don't always handle medications well so we will see how this goes. I have not experienced the increased sexual desire that others talk about and quite honestly, I am hoping and praying that I never do!
