I have been takng this medicaton for 4 years now I am only 14 years old and though at first when I get a new dosage after a few months I start to get my old symptoms back. When I was first diagnosed I was at 25mg now I'm at 175mg. I don't really get the chills but I do get weight gain, tiredness, and I get sick extremely easily so I miss quite a bit of school. I have been on this med for 3 weeks now and am having side effects. Hair loss, tired, no energy and besides that nothing else has changed. I was wondering if anyone else has had these experiences. My dr says I have to wait 6 weeks before my next bld test. My hair has become so thin and I am beginning to get a bald spot

I'm sorry to hear about the problems some of you folks have had to endure. I was diagnosed at 11 years old (I'm 44 now). I really don't remember having side effects. I do remember the the way I felt being 199 lbs in the fifth grade, having brittle hair and no energy. I remember constant DR visits with blood tests. I have been on Levoxyl since 2001. I am now a 51 year old female. This has changed my life. I was gaining weight, low energy, and depressed. Since this med. I was dx w/ hypothyriod over a yr ago bc I had numbness and tingling in my hands as well as pain. I also experienced lack of energy. Initially the treatment was ok felt somewhat better.
