i have been on this drug for only 3 weeks on a 50 mcg dose and have experienced some hair loss so far but no other noticeable side effects. However i hope this hair loss is just temporary and that my hypothyroid symptons do gradually alleviate. anyone feel better or noticed a difference after taking this medication for a few months>

My symptoms are dry scalp and skin, lots of hair loss, always cold, can't lose weight and very tired all the time. She started me on 78mcg, after a month she upped the dosage to 112mcg. I have not noticed any difference, still have all the same symptoms and not letting up at all ... Show Full Comment

I had a hypertyroid and underwent radioactive iodine treatment. I have been on this med for 8 months. I had hair loss for about 3 months (thought I would go bald but didn't) and lost some weight. I hope my weight loss is subsiding. I still have tremors and some loss of appetite. Lately I have been short of breath and will talk to doctor about it.
