Rash developed on buttocks and wrist a couple of weeks after injection. Can not tell if rash is actually related to injection but rash does constantly itch and burn. So far no RX from doctors to treat rash has helped.

Full blown case of shingles 4 months after inoculation. Vaccine is only 49% effective.

Just got it a few days ago, I have an egg shape swelling at injection site, wheezing and cough. Heaviness in my chest. But I hope it prevents shingles!

I was experiencing what I thought a mild attack, which started with very sore eyes, and which I thought was over but still had a slight rash and probably should have waited until it was over but was keen to avoid another attack. I immediately experienced a flair up after inoculation on another area of my body worse than my initial attack with pronounced pustules and tingling itchyness similar to scabies and very sore eyes. I had attacks 2 years back. Never had sore eyes before. After 3 days I took FAMVIR which I also took before and which improved things rapidly. Now one week later the rash is almost gone. Still taking Famvir. The sore eyes have gone but I am itchy all over worse than before. My Doctor did advise me to wait before inoculation but says it may have been beneficial. There were no effects where I was injectedRead More Read Less

So far I am 48 hours out from the vaccination. Within 6 hours I began to experience tingling and mild itching around the injection site in my medial tricep area. It is now swollen and red in an approximate 3-4" diameter area. No blisters have appeared. I have experienced no other side effects other than tenderness in the area described above.

I received the vaccine about a week ago. The only side effect was a rash around the injection site that lasted a day or two. No joint pain or fever. Taking the vaccine was a bit of a risk as I have early stage multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow. It was possible that I could get shingles from the vaccine due to my compromised immune system. The cancer was the reason for getting the vaccine and also the risk in taking it.

Approx 12 hrs after the shot, I felt slightly feverish and a very mild sore thoat, more in the glands than tonsils. My chest felt a bit heavy for that period. I can only assume the vaccine is working or my symptoms are caused by something else. Time will tell......rb
