I have smoked since 1972!!! I have tried to quit many times without success. I am now smoke free for 1 week. No real side effects except nausea if I don't eat when taking it. I guess I was not really ready because it took me 2 months on chantix before I had my last cig. But now I know I can do this.

I took this medication for 3 months and was smoke free and had no problems until I stopped taking Chantix. Then I started crying all the time for no reason . Next were thoughts of suicide. I thank God I was able to reach someone on the phone my worst night. And I made my husband take the ammunition for the guns with him when he went to work. And I started smoking again. I went to my Dr. and he put ... Show Full Comment

HAIR LOSS. Noticed hair falling out from scalp area after being on chantix for 3 weeks. Didn't think too much about it at that point because hair loss not listed as side affect. Hair continued to fall out at more then normal rate during the 8 weeks on meds. I've been off chantix for 6 weeks now. Hair still continues to fall out but at slower rate. Lost Aprox as of now 45 percent of hair. ... Show Full Comment

I was a little hesitant to try Chantix. Finally, I ask my doctor what he thought, he said I should try it and if I have any problems to stop taking. That was early March 2016. I used only one 30 day package. No side effects to mention, an occasional partial dream. I have been smoke free for three months. I have a question for others who have tried; did anyone have a skin sensation on your l ... Show Full Comment
