I take this med when I have a cold & cough & flu like symtoms. Works quite well for me. For those who reviewed with under age 12 children, read interactions. Not recommended for those under 12.

I has flu-like symtoms. I took 4 doses of this medicine over a 3 day period and my symptoms were completely gone. Other than the taste this is an excellent medication.

I gave this medication to my daughter, who is 11 years old (Dr. gave us some to relieve cold symptoms)....... a short while later, she said "this stuff works but I'm NEVER taking it again". She was VERY groggy and didn't like the feeling. Then she was totally passed out on the couch for a solid 3 hours.
I'll never use it again. She felt awful and 'drugged' the rest of the night.

I stopped giving it to him and t
