I was prescribed Levaquine for middle ear infection and sinusitis. No culture made! I took 6 days of 2 times 500 mg of Levaquine a day. Day 7 I threw last pill away. Three days into my treatment I had horrifying pain in my Achilles tendons. I was on a holiday, had to ask for a wheelchair to even go from room to restaurant. 14 days out, my Achilles tendons felt like rupturing. I wasn't able t ... Show Full Comment

This drug has been a miracle drug for me! I'm 16 and have had chronic sinusitis since I was 12. I recently suffered from a terrible sinus infection that was treated with augmentin and steroids. I have been augmentin at least 15 times in the past 2 years and it's getting to the point where I am becoming immune to it. This infection led into bronchitis and I was given a codeine syrup. M ... I had a sinus/ear infection that was treated in the past with other long term antibiotics and eventually, surgery. I needed this antibiotic about 2 months after surgery. It has really made an improvement. The best advice I can give is if you need to take this medication, take high potency Omega-3, multivitamins, eat bananas (or another source of potassium)and drink lots of water too. They helped me ... Show Full Comment

    Comment:
I have been treated with this drug 3 times in the last 5 years due to antibiotic resistant chronic sinus infections. Each time, it has quickly alleviated my infection and the only side effect has been insomnia. If I took the drug earlier in the day, it would probably help me sleep better. I have had no issues with neuropathy, and don't even have diarrhea with the drug. I'm on it again ... Show Full Comment
