I started taking Topamax about 8months ago. Suffered migraines all my life, Im now 46, nothing helped, until now, it is the best thing ever, in the eight months Ive been on it, Ive had one migraine. Sure a few cluster s here and there but nothing like before. This is an amazing drug. I only I was put on it years ago. TOPAMAX IS A CATCH 22 FOR ME...IT DID HELP WITH SLOWING DOWN THE EXCRUCIATING ATTACKS I WAS GETTING..AFTER TAKING IT FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS & MANY OF THE SAME SIDE AFFECTS AS OTHERS...CRAZY BRAIN..LOSS OF TASTE..LOSS OF ENERGY...I'VE TAKEN THIS SO LONG THAT IT HAS BECOME HARMFUL TO MY HEALTH & I NEED TO STOP COLD TURKEY ...MY HEALTH HAS BECOME LIFE-THREATENING...THAT'S WHY I HAVE MIXED FEEL ... Worked great! Only had 1 migraine within a month of taking this medication. Only problem which was huge was that it caused severe constipation and nothing helped with that. Had to stop taking medication and now trying Depacote.

topamax caused visual disturbances while not improving head pain/migraine daily. Increased dose/decreased dose, taken for many months, all to no avail.
