THE SIDE EFFECTS ARE HORRIBLE! I have been on Topamax for 3 months. It's given me HORRIBLE migraines, hallucinations, a complete loss of appetite, nightmares, confusion, and mood swings. The side effects it gives you while you're getting off the drug are just as bad.

Topamax worked great, I had no migraines, no migraine "auras" they all went away, but be warned this medication also dumbs you down. Being an honor roll student I received my first D ever. I had no appetite, so I stopped eating, Lost a ton of weight, and therefore I also had a lack of coordination and dizziness extreme enough where I had to quit dance. i suffer migraines about 2wks out of the month, sometimes a little more often, topomax was great for preventing them BUT my hair started to fall out like crazy it was so severe i had to discontinue using it.
