After no help from a Z-pack, Dr. prescribed this drug-500mg for 10 days. After 3 days, I noticed red welts on my back and breast accompanied by aches. Thinking these were possible bug bites, I continued the drug for another 4 days. Though my infection seemed to be better, I stopped because the welts became painful. Was prescribed for bacterial bronchitis/pneumonia. Was very hopeful that this would do the trick since the zpack didn't help. Was advised to take at bedtime, not good. I was so hyped up that I didn't sleep at all, the whole night. The second pill (prescribed 10pills/10days 500mg each) caused major ill effects. Jeez, took my first dose a few hours ago, can't breath, pounding heavy chest, muscle pain off the charts. Will call Doc. No thanks to this med.!!! Will not be taking a second dose.

Struggling through a respiratory sickness for 12 days, I visited my Dr. to make sure I did not have strep, pneumonia, or something else. Received a prescrip. for Levofloxacin 500mg one/day for 10 days. After two nights of bad sleeping, I stopped the drug.
