Quitting smoking is a terrible experience, especially for those who are "serious" smokers. I was a pack-a-day smoker (semi-serious), and I enjoyed the experience. I was beginning my third month of taking Chantix and had quit smoking, after 30 years of smoking, sometime late in the second month of taking the medication. It felt wonderful to not worry about cigarettes and people even said I looked better. I had experienced times of general grouchiness while on the medication, but just chalked it up to being in a bad mood. (Not very characteristic of me!) But
