I had a total hysterectomy 13 years ago. I am now 55 and wanted to try bioidentical hormones to help my sexual desire and also feel better about myself. My doctor put me on elestrin and progesterin (excuss my spelling) I felt better emotionally but started having bad gas with soft stool and diarreha, and tender breast. At this point I took a blood hormone test after being on this product for a month and my doctor told me my hormones levels are still very low. Like my body was not absorbing the product, but I was still have excessive gas, bloating and diarreha. Doctor took me off the product because of adverse reactions. I am still having slight diarreha and some gas. Its like my systom still has the product in me even after a week. Read More Read Less

Elestrin is a wonderful product and it is so easy to use. You will need to give it about a week to "build up" in your system but you will be so happy that you did! I can't imagine not having Elestrin - This product has given me my life back!

First day that I used it I became very confused. 2nd Day my brain felt like it was numb. 3rd and last final day I woke up with blurred vision. Wanted to try this because I had been taking premarin since 2005 every 3 days, I didn't like the weight gain. Will stick with Premarin

The only complaint I have is I am losing hair. Possibly going to stop medication because of this side effect.

After my surgery I went into full menopause. My Dr. recommended this treatment, and since my hot flashes have almost completely diminished and my headaches that I have had for years has been life changing, so far this has been an effective treatment and my mood swings have improved as well..

I just had my ovaries removes via Laprascopic surgery last 6 days ago. I am 31. The first 3-4 have been emotionally crazy. However I am sure I am not balanced out yet.Hopefully each day will get better. The past two days what I have noticed is that my mood seems to fluctuate throughout the day. I use it in the morning and evening.

I have been using elestrin for 2 weeks. I was given permission by my np to use up to 3 doses a day as my fsh was very high, and she said I had practically no estrogen in my body at all. My symptoms included hot flashes, vaginal pain and dryness, anxiety, mood swings, etc. The hot flashes have been minimized, and I was able to have intercourse with my husband without pain for the first time in months. I am not sure how many of the other symptoms could be expected to lessen with estrogen treatment, but the anxiety has been much more mild also, along with the mood swings. I do not feel well yet, and maybe I am expecting too much. My np said the next step would be an antidepressant along with the estrogen. I tried prozac and the side effects were horrendous (I did become suicidal, it was so bad) so I am very reluctant to try another SSRI. I spend a lot of time praying for guidance and healing as I don't think I want to take any more medications if I can possibly help it. I have had nausea problems and weight loss but I think that happened as consequence of the prozac not the elestrin. I think I am suffering some amount of depression from some pretty severe stress in our family so I don't know how much I can expect to be relieved.Read More Read Less
