I was taking samples of Primacare, DuetDHA, CitricalDHA, and Prenate DHA. I wanted something with DHA and folic acid. I found that all of them made me feel like vomiting and gave me fishy burps except for the Prenate DHA. I stuck with Prenate DHA and found that it was much more tolerable and all in all a better vitamin. I had a great experience with this one and I recomend it!

I went to the doctor when I was a about 4 weeks along, everything looked fine. I started taking this prenatal vitamin the day after leaving the doctor office. 17 days later I went back to the doctor and they said I was going to miscarry. The vitamin made me over-emotional, want to lash out on others, constantly sick feeling, and unable to eat. When I switched back to my other prenatal vitamins...

The pill is easy to swallow. No offensive odor. Contained all the necessary vitamins for a developing fetus; DHA, Folic acid, Iron, Calcium.

I can't say how effective this will be until I get pregnant and have a baby, but I'm pleased with the effects so far. I am on the generic form which comes as a liquidcap (like soft plastic). It's huge, but smooth and tastless, so, easy to swallow. I had stomach upset when I would take it in the morning, that would disrupt my ability to work. I then tried to take it right before bed and it made me restless. B-vitamins are energizing! Now I take it in the afternoon with a small snack and no problems at all! It actually helps get me over that 4 o'clock slump.Read More Read Less

The pill is big but I would rather take just one ... and they are hard to get out of the package! I have had some side effects - a horrible metallic taste in my mouth that affects the way everything tastes, headaches, and some jittery caffeine like reactions. I'm going to have to try something else!

I am trying to get pregnant and this vitamin works well for me. When I was pregnant with my first child I had to take Flinstone vitamins. This vitamin has a great vanilla flavor and is easy to swallow even though it is a big pill.

I'm currently preparing my body for pregnancy and was given a few different samples of prenatal vitamins to try from my OB/GYN. I liked Prenate DHA by far the best because it was all-in-one versus taking two vitamins to get folic acid and DHA, it didn't cause burping, and it smells kind of like a Tic Tac. Other vitamins sometimes have a smell that makes me gag before I even get it down. The pill is big but doesn't seem to be a problem swallowing for me. I don't have any side effects from it. Because it has B vitamins in it I tend to try to take it mid-day after lunch versus at night when I'm afraid it will keep me up. I'm really happy with the vitamins. I pay about $50 for a 90-day supply, which I figure is about equivalent to what I would spend on good vitamins and separate fish oil every three months. And since they're prescription, they're regulated by the FDA versus over-the-counter vitamins.Read More Read Less

I have been taking Prenate DHA for 4 weeks now. I find the pill it self easy to take since it doesn't stink like most vitamins. I don't have any side affects from it either. I have 2 issues...one of which I have been able to solve. First, it costs me $47 after insurance. Second, the pills are hard to get out of the pack. This problem I solved...I simply cut them out 15 at a time and put them in another bottle. Then all I have to do is take the lid off!

My doctor started me on this because I'm in the process of trying to get pregnant. So far, I have had no problems with this medication. It was making my stomach a little bit upset when I took it in the mornings, so I started taking it at night, and I've been fine.

This Prenatal vitamin made me swell up like a big air balloon! I didnt' get it. This is my second pregnancy and I am only at 8 weeks right now, and 30 minutes after taking this medication, I start to swell. I am never taking it again! I loved my first pregnancy prenatal, caltrate. Hopefully the doctor will have me switch back to that when I go see him tomorrow.

My main problem at first was it's huge. i took it the first day and was horribly emotional, then I switched to Tandem DHA- it's a lot smaller and I didn't have any nasty side effects.

I took the vitamin right after dinner and went to bed 2 hours later. I had trouble sleeping (felt hyper and over anxious), had pains in my back and felt a lot of pressure in my chest and throat. I was awake all night in quite a bit of discomfort.

The vitamin made me over-emotional, want to lash out on others, constantly sick feeling, and unable to eat. When I switched back to my other prenatal vitamins I went back to normal.
