I have been experiencing strong episodes of vertigo (BPPV) for the past two weeks. They seem to stop but they return when I sleep, then roll onto my side. I have NOT been using any kind of drug to stop the nausea that follows a vertigo attack until today. So, I decided to give "Dramamine Less Drowsy Formula" a try since it contains the same active ingredient (meclizine) as doctor prescribed...

For years I have experienced dizziness/vertigo--world spinning, not able to walk straight, eyes darting back and forth, nausea, vomiting. When I feel an episode coming on or that unsteady feeling, I take non-Drowsy Dramamine to keep me from the bad symptoms. If I am past that point and going into a full dizzy episode, then I take the regular meclizine which will knock me out and allow me to sleep. The Non-Drowsy Dramamine works everytime and allows me to continue with my routine. I never go anywhere without both regular meclizine and Non-Drowsy Dramamine. I can go for months and months without a dizzy episode. Then when I begin to feel it coming on, I use my Dramamine. I give it 5 of 5 stars.Read More Read Less

It works well on my symptoms, but it makes me just as drowsy as the regular Dramamine.

I have NOT been using any kind of drug to stop the nausea that follows a vertigo attack until today. So, I decided to give "Dramamine Less Drowsy Formula" a try since it contains the same active ingredient (meclizine) as doctor prescribed AntiVert. I'm aware that the meclizine can mask the brain's ability to cope with the inner ear's imbalance, thus reducing the nausea. It's a good thing but I need to let the brain get used to the imbalance. This drug is not a cure for BPPV - just reduce the after-effects like nausea/vomiting. So far, it's working. It's been over an hour since I took the pill.Read More Read Less

I was ale to stop the nausea and actually hold something down on my stomach. The dizziness and feeling of unbalance were not as strong as without it. I was able to move around and actuall walk during a venue.

I am extremely prone to motion sickness; it has worsened considerably over the last 10 years - to the point that even a car ride of less than 1 hour results in severe queasiness for an hour afterward. Dramamine less drowsy has enabled me to fly and ride on extended trips comfortably - even when turbulence is encountered! I have found that it is more effective taken with food, and at least 1 hour before travel begins rather than 30 minutes. It does dry you out considerably, so be sure to drink plenty of fluids. It is also less drowsy, as advertised - it does not knock me out immediately, but I do feel more alert after a short nap on the plane. I highly recommend this product - it definitely works for me and has made traveling by other methods than driving my car an option for me again.Read More Read Less
