I'm back I made and entry of 11/27/08 (Indian dr.) I had to be weaned off of Bystolic couldn't take the weird spacey feeling any longer...I started getting MIGRAINES regulary and headaches daily. I had severe neck pain while on this medication for 3 days.I have an old C1 burst fracture in my neck and the pain was as bad as the day I broke my neck!I had to stop it.Please be careful with this medication.

For those complaining about the BYSTOLIC side effects after switching from other beta blockers such as TOPROL/METOPROLOL, make sure you were not taking the generic versions. THE FDA has recalled all generic METOPROLOL/TOPROL manufactured by ETHEX and SANDOZ. Make sure you try the brand drug called TOPROL-XL (Astra Zeneca) or LOPRESSOR (NOVARTIS pharm) before switching. I have been on bystolic for 3 weeks now. Started with 10mg. ,B/P stayed up..now up to 20mg/day. Pulse is slow 46/min.but I am a runner and it has always been in the 50's.B/p is marginally lower. I have been on Bystolic for 10 months, ringing in my ears, blurred vision, mood changes,elevated weight gain of 30 lbs. I cut the pill in half ( I do not recommend)for 2 weeks than I stopped completely.
