I have arthritis in my foot and it was painful to walk. My doctor suggested this as an alternative to an expensive topical prescription med. It took a couple of weeks of daily application before I felt significant relief. For me, it works very well with minimum side effects, but that could be because hot chilies and salsas are a regular part of my Southwestern diet. I do notice an increased burnin...

I heeded the warning to wash my hands after application, but I didn't know that I had to wash them 3 times with soap & water to remove all burning side effects of the ointment. Also I made the mistake of petting my cat after I washed my hands once, she liked her fur where my hands had been and got Ill. The warnings on this product are insufficient and need to be upgraded.

Bought this while on vacation at the beach for a quick fix for arthritis in my foot. Applied as directed 12 hours later my foot was on fire! Nothing helped luckily the ocean water temperature was cool and gave releif while standing in it. I never could tell if it actually worked to busy dealing with a hot foot. Will not use again but I may give it to someone I dislike. Real expensive as well.

long story short, I drove myself 45 minutes to the emergency room in the most excruciating pain ever. I was told this would help with my neurapthy. i would have had better luck pouring gas and lighting myself on fire. The worse part is, is that the nurse gave me Ibuprofin and sent me home. Luckily it's winter where I live because the cold air and snow helped a bit.

I'm extremely healthy and active at 52 and until recently never had to deal w/ arthritis. My Dr. suggested I use this and I'll tell you, DON'T. All it took was sitting on my back for less than 10 mins. and now it's is as red as a 2nd degree sunburn. My wife took three pics. I tried rinsing w/cool water, aloe vera, towel soaked w/milk, veg. oil and Benadryl, I'm trying anything. I can't fathom any company allowed to sell this, between being livid and in pain is what I am and NO 800# to call. What kind of company is this? I realize it's not an allergy it's a burn. Everyone, this is beyond pain. For those who can use it, God love you, My pharmacist didn't sound surprised and said there are instructions inside the box but then, who keeps the box? This is beyond horrendous. The pharm. suggested Benadryl won't hurt as well as the milk bath with the oil. The pharm. said he doesn't suggest this item while there are many others that don't burn the victims/patients. This is 2014-WE deserve to be treated with more respect. OUR Government. must use caution allowing this to be on the shelves. I will tell all my friends, acquaintances, church, etc. Don't use it. Let our voices be heard. Read More Read Less

I USED THIS AT 10:00 P.M. ON MY ANKLES AND WAS AWAKENED AT 1:30 A.M. BY A BURNING SENSATION THAT FELT LIKE MY THIGHS WERE ON FIRE. I NEVER PUT THIS MEDICATION ON MY THIGHS. I HAD TO USE A WET WASHCLOTH TO COOL IT DOWN AND TAKE A BENEDRYL BEFORE I COULD GO TO SLEEP HOURS LATER. I WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN.

I have had shin pain since I slipped on the ice in January-have tried everything to relieve it-used "cap" a few years ago and it worked for my knee ache-I do agree that it does burn but for me it does work=the applicator is great {used the cream before but applied it with rubber glove and hand did not burn} MY WARNING: If you have sensitive skin DO NOT USE

Yes the burning is pretty intense at first. Maybe 10-15 minutes. Put a small amount on and don't oversaturate your skin. Water will reactivate it. I would rather deal w/the burning for 10 minutes versus the stiffness & pain I have from my pulled muscle. It pretty much masks the original pain you had in the 1st place. The burning will subside. I think it's great if you have a really bad sprain, pulled muscle.

It took a couple of weeks of daily application before I felt significant relief. For me, it works very well with minimum side effects, but that could be because hot chilies and salsas are a regular part of my Southwestern diet. I do notice an increased burning sensation when using a spa or other heat therapy, so am cautious about that. I also use disposable gloves so that I don't accidentally apply it to a sensitive part of my body, like an eyelid.Read More Read Less

I applied on my knee that's hurting, after 5-10 minutes my knee was burning red and started to swell like with blister . I cover it with the icepack to help ease the burning sensation. Scared to use the product again.

I am suffering from a bad muscle stiffening/pain after running a marathon followed by attending a Boot Camp a day after, bought this medicine, an hour after my thigh where I applied this medicine was burning in pain, I immediately covered it with wet towel and took me more than an hour to finally get a relief from the burn. I will not recommend this medication to anybody at all. This is my first time to write a review on anything, felt i have to warn people on not using this product.

I had total knee replacement 5 months ago. I still have joint pain especially after exercising/rehab. I ran out of the generic muscle rub I had been using. I bought a tube of Capzasin P and have been very pleased with the performance. I can feel the pain subside immediately after applying Capzasin P and the relief lasts about 4 hours. The relief is comparable to Icy Hot or Equal Line. The cost is about the same as Icy Hot but more than Equal Line. Capzasin has one major advantage to the other products. It comes with a sponge applicator attached to the tube. I never have to get the ointment on my hands like with the other products which is a major advantage in my book. I will continue to use Capzasin over the other products for this reason.Read More Read Less
