I have been suffering anxiety and depression since June. I was having severe dizziness and constant headaches. This medicine has been a life saver. Headaches and dizziness are mostly gone. It could work a little better on the anxiety, but it has helped my nerve pain tremendously.

I keep seeing where people are taking 150mg-200mg. I thought this only came in 50mg and 100mg doses. Do the doctors just keep upping medication that is not working? Also don't understand the ones saying they feel better within a day, or a week after starting this med. It takes weeks to build up in the blood and be effective. Confused. does this drug work ? of course it does,,,,, but the person I've become is so not me.... it makes me violent almost, I've been on it for 6 months now and am looking for alternate meds, Ive been on other pills for almost 10 yrs now, this one scares me

I have been on Pristiq for several years, 50 mg. I have tried stopping, weaning myself off slowly or skipping a day. Generally, I have withdrawal symptoms such as hot flashes and headaches along with irritability. I have also suffered from constant Tinnitus which developed a year after being on Pristiq.
