I have oromandibular dystonia (OMD) now generalized to my right thumb and my right foot. My neurologist at University of WA starting me on 12.5 twice daily. That dose did nt help, I was having chewing and severe speech clarity issues. Now I am on 25 mg twice daily. Today makes two weeks and my speech seems worse. The dystonia in my right foot is gone. the dystonia in my right thumb is a little bit more tolerable. Tomorrow my doctor wants me to take 12.5 in the morning, 25 mg in the afternoon and evening to see if that makes a difference in my speech.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed this medicine for my tourette syndrome and my experience was not good. At first nothing happened. It did not help with my tourettes. Then I began to feel headaches in the back of my head and dizziness when ever I would walk. This medicine did not help me.

I take tetrabenazine. I have had movements for 2 years and nothing worked. I do have insomnia tho but I can handle it compared to the horrible movements. It's a miracle for me.
