I've been taking this BC for about 10 months and I've gained 12 pounds (I was a bit underweight before, but only needed to gain about 5 pounds). A few years ago I was on a different but similar drug (Apri, I think) and gained weight from that too. When I stopped taking that one, I lost 10 pounds without even trying. When I started taking Azurette after about a 1.5 year break from BC, my ap ... Show Full Comment

I have been taking this pill for a little over a year and have had no problems with it. No mood swings or whatnot that other people have complained about. However, just recently I have been spotting which is not something that many want. Just be wary that for some reason it's normal (so I was told by my physician) with this pill.

I have missed my period for 4 months now. I have taken 3 at home pregnancy test and a blood test to insure I wasn't pregnant. I called my gyno and instead of being concerned about my worries she just said it is the pill. I think she had that made up before she came into the room. Anyways, I have headaches, feel sleep deprived, can cry at the drop of a hat. I will be switching my birth control an ... Show Full Comment

Would NOT recommend. I do understand that effects of BC are different for each individual, but I know myself and that I am regularly a healthy, happy, up-beat person & Azurette made me the COMPLETE opposite! I was on it for 3 full months, became uncontrollably irritable, moody, nauseated, tired, and extremely unmotivated. I had absolutely no patience and no desire for... anything. I ended up t ...
