My daughter is 13 years old. She got her first HPV Vaccine shot February, 2011. She was fine for about one month until she had started to feel dizzy and had mild headaches, brief fainting spells and jerking movements. It was hard for her to focus in class and she would have to squint her eyes to try to focus, so she was out of school for a week. We took her to the hospital with her usual doctor in March and her doctor dignosed her with strep throat. Her doctor said that she had strep throat for a while and it had travled through the back of her throat up into her brain, this can cause dizziness. We thought this was strange because she had had no sign of any strep throat what so ever. She gave her a medicine to be used for 10 days. She seemed to be fine after a while. Until This past month, August, she has been feeling the same way she had felt at the start. Since she was keeping it easy for a while she started doing a little bit better. Then she started having trouble sleeping. Then today, August 24th, she was walking to meet her friends and she collapsed on the sidewalk. She didn't pass out but her legs had got weak and sort of gave up. We took her to the hospital and they took a blood test, it was fine. I wanted to research and I have found that her symptoms had started the same time when she got this shot.I do not know if this is actually what is wrong because I still have to suggest this to her doctor, but if your child were getting this shot i would recommend to look more into it before getting it.Read More Read Less
