So I had my blood checked and my cholesterol levels (bad stuff) was extremely high, so my Dr put me on Lipitor. It caused me to cramp in my legs and my joints killed me, so much that even my Fentanyl patch for my daily pain didn't touch it! I went back to see my Dr ab ... Show Full Comment

I have a lot of reactions to several types of medications. I tried several different cholesterol meds and had problems. I always take it with food. I have been on Livalo for 2 weeks and no reactions. For me, it deserves a high rating.

I started out taking Llvalo 2 mg 3 times/wk working toward every day along with Zetia. It seemed to affect my emotional state and my legs. Stopped taking it and the dr told me to take 1mg 3 times/wk of Livalo only. It really affected my emotions. I cried a lot and was not very nice to my husband. He knew every time I took it. I stopped 4 days ago and have noticed a difference already. Has any one ... Show Full Comment

After trying 6 other statin drugs, this one seems to have the least in body/muscle cramp symptoms. I have gained 5 to 7 lbs though in 3 months since I started Livalo. I continue to workout and eat a proper diet. Not sure about the weight gain.
