I have had pretty severe problems with PMDD that consist of mood swings, anger, weight gain, feelings of depression, sadness, and breast tenderness. I started taking this pill about 5 weeks ago and I have had great results so far. I've lost about 7 pounds and finally feel like I've found a pill that doesnt make my hormones go bananas! Just stopped taking this two days ago.It has taken 4 months to figure out why I feel so crazy. Since taking this I feel like a nut case.I am angry all the time for no reason.It has made work difficult and has made my marrage difficult.I don't want to be anywhere. I started taking this pill a few months before I got married. At first I loved it; had a little nausea the first few weeks, but after that no complaints. It was effective in preventing pregnancy and gave me very light/no period at all. About 7 months in, I started getting breakthrough bleeding fairly consistently. I was on Lo Loestrin Fe for about a total of 9 months. Prior to this I never had an irregular cycle and never missed a period, even when taking other birth control pills. The first few months on Lo Loestrin Fe (about 5 months) I spotted and had a period that lasted for about 4 days. Lo Loestrin FE was by far the better of the pills i had taken. I had zero periods and no weight gain or mood swings. The issue came about 1 yr and 1/2 into taking it....I have noticed that for me on each of the kinds of bc pills i tried over the years this is when I had issues with all of them.
