This has been my first experience with birth control, but I have to say that it's been working great for me. I have not experienced any side effects, my first three months went relatively smoothly, and ever since, I've had just a hint of a period for a day each month. Enough to feel at ease, sure that I'm not pregnant. Clearly experiences vary, but for me it's been a comfortable tr ... Show Full Comment

As a sexually active high school teenager, it was time I went on birth control. I went to the gyno and there the doctor put me on this drug. I began the medicine and after the first month I loved it. I have not had a period since I began this drug. For some this may scare them and they do not like that but for me I love that aspect so much. Have been taking Lo Loestrin for just about a year now. First couple of months had a regular period but since then - none! Doc says this is completely normal. Low estrogen = no lining buildup so there is no blood to shed. No ill side effects either - no weight gain, bloating, acne, etc. Love this one!

After Loestrin was discontinued (sad day for me) my gyno switched me to minastrin, which was AWFUL I gained 8 pounds in a week. So I asked for Lo loestrin thinking it would be most similar, and so far it is. After taking it for three months I'm frustrated that I don't get my period! As a women in her early 20s in a serious relationship, I HATE being paranoid that I'm pregnant all th ... Show Full Comment

These have been the absolute worst three months ever. I started taking lo loestrin once they discontinued loestrin 24fe (sooo amazing and I miss it sooo much). My dr told me that I might have some breakthrough bleeding but that it should resolve itself by the end of 3 months. Nothing that I thought I couldn't handle. Well, in my 3rd week of the first packet, I had "breakthrough bleeding&q ... Show Full Comment
