I've been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 6 months and just went off it to try to get pregnant. I've been on some form of oral birthcontrol for the last 14 years. This is my favorite one that I've been on so far, other than the cost, since there is no generic yet. I use the discount card, but it's still not cheap. The only side effects I can report are short light periods or skipped ... Show Full Comment

I began taking this pill after taking the mini pill while breast feeding. The first couple of months were great, however, about the 3 month I began to notice I was beginning to have mood swings, hot flashes, and irritability. These are things I've never experienced while taking bc. The last two months of taking this pill, I have not had a period. I'm not one who likes not having a period ... Show Full Comment

I was given a prescription for Lo Loestrin Fe and three free sample packs by my GYN. I've had a mostly positive experience with it; no weight gain (maybe even a little weight loss!), no significant mood changes (maybe a little more emotional than usual, but nothing as bad as with some other pills I've taken).
