I was on Lo Loestrin Fe for about a total of 9 months. Prior to this I never had an irregular cycle and never missed a period, even when taking other birth control pills. The first few months on Lo Loestrin Fe (about 5 months) I spotted and had a period that lasted for about 4 days. Then for the next 2 months I stopped spotting and had a period that again lasted for about 4 days. The last 2 months I stopped getting my period all together and had no spotting. I stopped taking the pill and now 2 months after I have stopped taking the pill, I still have not had a period. I have taken pregnancy tests and was tested at the doctor and I am not pregnant. Has anyone stopped taking this pill and continued to not get their period? I'm wondering if it will ever come back and if so, how long it could take.

Lo Loestrin FE was by far the better of the pills i had taken. I had zero periods and no weight gain or mood swings. The issue came about 1 yr and 1/2 into taking it....I have noticed that for me on each of the kinds of bc pills i tried over the years this is when I had issues with all of them. It completing destroyed by sex drive. My oBGYN said the same thing happened to her while taking bc p ... Show Full Comment

Lo Loestrin FE was by far the better of the pills i had taken. I had zero periods and no weight gain or mood swings. The issue came about 1 yr and 1/2 into taking it....I have noticed that for me on each of the kinds of bc pills i tried over the years this is when I had issues with all of them. It completing destroyed by sex drive. My oBGYN said the same thing happened to her while taking bc pills, it has to do with lowering your testosterone. I dont know that this is a common issue but it did happen to me

I have been on it for exactly a month. I started pack number two today. So far good since I haven't had a period yet! I did have some spotting for about a week. But I have been extremely moody. I have been easily aggravated for the last two weeks or so and it's taking a toll on my relationship. So I'm not sure if I should give the medicine some time to work in my body or stop now.

This is the first birth control I've ever been on. I was on it for 2 months. During the first month I had a bit of break through bleeding in the middle of the pack, then no period. In the second I got acne (which is not normal for me) for about 2 or 3 weeks, then it started clearing up. I had no period in the second month. Was on this pill for a few months and absolutely hated it!! My period was completely unpredictable. Had it one month, not the next, then had it two weeks into a brand new pack. Never knew when it was coming, that will NOT fly with me! Also had acne from it. I'm 29 and had fairly clear skin until I started taking this pill. Was on this pill for a few months and absolutely hated it!! My period was completely unpredictable. Had it one month, not the next, then had it two weeks into a brand new pack. Never knew when it was coming, that will NOT fly with me! Also had acne from it. I'm 29 and had fairly clear skin until I started taking this pill. My whole face broke out the entire time I was on this. Cramps were awful as well. This is the first pill I've ever been on that actually made my cramps worse than they were when I wasn't on a pill. I'd have cramps for 3/4 of a month! I would highly recommend staying AWAY from this pill!
