I am on my second day of generes fe and I have already experienced break outs like a 13 year old. I have had crystal clear skin up until today. It has to be this pill because I have made no other changes elsewhere in my life. I will continue using it for a few more days to see if the break outs will fade or get worse.

I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and I take birth control for a few reasons (#1 to lower my testosterone levels, #2 to have a monthly period since PCOS causes a lack of periods). Over the past 3 years I've been on 6 different birth control pills, and Generess Fe is the best pill I've been on hands down. Every female will react different to the hormones in every pill, so my review will obviously be different than the next female. I've been on this pill for a full 3 months. The first month all I had was some breakthrough bleeding about 10 days into the pack (the bleeding lasted about 7 days, but it wasn't anything to get mad about). My period the first month was less than 2 days and was very light spotting, my cramps were solved with 2 Midol that lasted all day. I wore a panty liner both days. The second month I had zero complaints. My period was less than 2 days of very light spotting followed with light cramps. Month three was a weird month. I had nausea for pretty much the entire month. I woke up feeling like I was going to vomit almost everyday. My period was 2 days of light spotting, and light cramps. I'm confident the nausea is just my body adjusting to the pill (it takes 3 to 6 months to fully adjust to new hormones). Since being on this pill my moods have not been altered like on other pills, my sex drive is fabulous, no acne. I'm already very busty (doluble JJ's) and my boobs grew a full cup size, not a big deal but I don't need bigger boobs. I'm staying on this pill because my period is very light, and my moods aren't being jacked with. Something else, my co-pay for this pill is zero dollars thanks to my insurance renewing on January 1st and the Health Care Reform Law. If you still have to pay for it the website offers a savings card. Another good thing is the Generess Fe app. You can download it and set reminders to take the pill and keep track of any changes you feel during the month. I hope this review helps someone!!

On Generess, I have cramps for a few days and they are worse, I have horrible headaches. It makes me EXTREMELY emotional. I knew when I was about to start because I would cry the day before. It made me feel like I was pregnant even though I've never been. I would eat whatever I laid eyes on. I would snap at people when they really didn't do anything. I know everyone's insurances can be different but I just picked up my new pack tonight and it was $60!!! No thank you, after this pack I am switching!

I had no noticeable side effects and lighter, shorter periods. However, I began to experience breakthrough bleeding two weeks into my cycle that would last until my period began which was concerning. My doctor has since switched me to a different pill with a higher dosage of estrogen.

I have been on this medication for almost six months and I cannot take it anymore. My face is breaking out, they make me have extreme nausea. On average I get throw up once a week. I start having my period, then it ends, then a week later, it comes back! Horrible.
