Those complaining about weight gain should read the pamplet, as quoted "decrease sexual desire, weight gain" is a very rare and low case. With any birth control pill there is side effects, I know you have to stick it out a few months. So before putting negative things realize any medication gives you that, and from rea ... I switched to generess fe from my normal birth control pill due to insurance coverage. I did not get pregnant (which is why i was on the pill), however I had rapid weight gain and water retention, bowel problems, nausea, increased appetite, vaginal discharge constantly throughout my cycle. I have been taking this pill for three months. While I have not gotten pregnant, I have experienced: amenorrhea, moods swings, severe fatigue. Three months without a period is ridiculous. I will be switching to another birth control after I am finished with this pack because my doctor recommended it.

I used to be on Beyaz and then when I told my doctor I was getting cramping in the middle of my cycle he suggested I change my pill. I am extremely dissatisfied with Generess. I am active and eat healthy and I have gained 7 lbs since I began using this pill. When I n ... Show Full Comment

I'm 29 and just started taking birth control for the first time in my life. My doctor prescribed Generess to me. I felt like complete crap for the first two days - I had severe nausea in the morning and the rest of the day, and I was exhausted. However, taking these meds for the first time also coincided with some sleep deprivation the night before, and a crazy work deadline that requir ... Show Full Comment
