This birth control is giving me serious headaches and I gained 12 lbs in the three weeks I've been on it even though I only eat organic vegetables, nuts, lean meats, etc., and no sugar, carbs, whole eggs, or anything with high fat content. I'm officially DONE with this BC. I was on it for almost a year and I had 3 periods every single month that were heavy and annoying! My doctor didn't believe it was the BCs fault, got an ultrasound and everything was great reproductive wise. This drug definitely has its pros and cons... I originally went on the pill to help treat my acne and when I first started my acne did not improve. As a matter of fact, it got much worse. However, after a little research I found that this was a common side effect of many birth controls because it takes the body a few months to adjust to the changing hormone levels. I don't know what everyone else is complaining about, this pill isn't so bad. I'm an 18y/o non-smoker, and I just finished my first pack of Emoquette, and although the start was a little rocky (I've never taken bc before), I'm doing much better now.
