Like many others, I was given Loryna in place of Gianvi. My pharmacy told me that Gianvi was no longer manufactured, which is a lie. I called my GYN and the nurse advised me that sometimes pharmacies get a kick back from using certain supply companies, nice eh? Well anyway, on Gianvi after a few years I was fine. Like any birth control my body had to adjust, and by now it has been great. I ha ... Show Full Comment

My pharmacy switched me from Gianvi (after about 2 years) to Loryna because they said it was no longer carried by their supplier. So I figured it was the same chemical makeup as Gianvi and started taking Loryna. After a few days of the active pills I noticed a lot of bloating and some mild pain in my abdomen. I dismissed it as gas from something I ate (I have IBS) and took a Gas X and went abou ... Show Full Comment

So I compared packages and they are relatively the same. After 2 weeks of Loryna, I noticed my gut has been super temperamental!! I am so bloated all the time, gas pains build up and I can' ... I have been on Gianvi for several years. I do well with it. My acne is under control and my periods are very regular. I love it! However, like some of you I was taken by surprise when CVS just switched me to Loryna without my understanding of why. I was told two different stories, one: that they didn't carry it anymore and two: that it's the same medication just under a new manufactures na ... Show Full Comment

Like many others, CVS switched me from Gianvi to Loryna without my consent. I have tried many different types of bc in the past and Gianvi was by far the best. After taking Loryna for just one week I felt HORRIBLE. I had constant bloating, nausea, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. My acne (which had been gone on Gianvi) came back and I constantly felt like I would cry at any moment. I know that so ... Show Full Comment
