I'm also bipolar II, suffer from SAD and major anxiety disorder - life-long, paralyzing afflictions. I'm in my 50s. The only thing that has ever helped, until it conks out, is Parnate. Every couple of years. I've tried everything. I had no faith in vilazodone, and to be honest I've been on this drug for only 4 weeks, going up 10 mgs a week. Now I'm at 30 mgs and staying p ... I started at 10 mg and had some nausea and insomnia only for the first week. The drug was not helping my mood so I ramped to 20 mg then to 40 mg over the course of a month. Mood improvement started at 20 mg but once ... Show Full Comment

During the two weeks, I had stomache issues, feelings of being drugged, and lethargy. However, I felt calmer. The day I went increased my dosage to 20 mg, I experienced a migraine-like headache and threw up everything that I had eaten that day. I called my doctor and now I a ... Show Full Comment

Nothing less than MIRACULOUS. I suffered migraines, nausea, anxiety, and joint pain for more than a decade. It took about 3 weeks before these ailments started to disappear. I encourage anyone that is going to try vilazodone, to take it at the same time (morning for me)everyday with food. Also be weary of any supplements you take as these can cause trouble (milk thistle for example is a no-go). Dr ... Show Full Comment
