I've tried almost every anti - depressant on the market. Viibryd did not do much for me. However, I gained over 40 lbs in a year! After reading other personal reviews of this med I realized the cause! This info is not provided by the manufacturer. I know everyone is different so every drug may have different effects on them but this is horrible! Now I need to find another med to take a gamb ... Show Full Comment

During the start of my 20mg dose, I started experiencing concerning side effects. I was dizzy, had "brain zaps", dry mouth, and my temper very short. When I had PMS my temper was off the charts! I took this for about 2 years. Felt really good. The worst issue was the constant feeling of hunger all morning long. It made managing my weight somewhat difficult. As soon as I stopped taking it the hunger sensation stopped. Have been trying new meds since then.

Best anti-depressant ever used and also VERY helpful with: 1) mitigating chronic pain after discontinuing a decade of managed narcotics (oxycodone), and 2) diminishing benzodiazepine(lorazepam/Atavan)withdrawal symptoms. Do not know about long-term effects. Have taken for 2 years at the time of writing this description.
