I was up to 90mg of Cymbalta and still experiencing tough depression symptoms. Was weaned off Cymbalta while starting the Viibryd to cut withdrawl symtoms of Cybalta. Afte the first week I noticed a huge improvement. The second week was the best I have ever felt in my entire life. It has been 4 months now and I am currently up to 40mg Viibryd and down to 20mg Cymbalta every other day. 3 weeks ... Show Full Comment

I had a horrible time beginning this drug but my psych insisted that I stick with it and gave me some things to help with the side effects. Going above 20 mgs was really tough side effects wise but after being on the 40 mg for a couple of weeks the side effects subsided and I have never been on a drug that helped my depression like this. I have anxiety and depression and have tried lots of meds like paxil, effexor, lexapro. Lexapro just stopped working for the depression. Began the starter pack of viibryd 3 weeks ago. I have not been able to get past 20 mgs. Had an initial burst of energy the 1st week, but experienced some vivid bad dreams and stomach issues. This medication was given to me and I did good at 20 mg but as it was increased to 40 Side effects were I felt sea sick all the time. Had to eat allot of protein in order not to feel sick. Flu like feeling. I also had numbness in my legs and felt like I was on a rollercoaster some of the time. I went slowly down 40 then 30 then 20 then 10 and now none at all. SSRI withdraw is bad.
