I am 62 and have frequent URIs. I was on 100mg on Macrodantin as a preventitive measure for yrs. Two years ago, my urologist recommended Theracran. It has been wonderful and I not longer need the antibiotic. If I do forget a bid dose, or decrease water intake...I will get an infection. But two or three a year is much better than one every month! (Atrophic vaginitis). BTW, I am an RN and fully bel...

My doctor recommended Theracran for UTI prevention but, after taking it diligently for five months, I have still suffered through THREE very nasty UTI requiring multiple courses of high dose Ceftin (the only drug I can take due to severe antiobiotic allergies). I even came very close to needing hospitalization to receive IV antibiotic therapy on one occasion. My doctor has now put me on a daily do...

I have been on Theragran more than six months and it is the longest I've gone without a urinary tract infection! For me it is a miracle pill ,

My urologist suggested I take Theracran for frequent UTI's. A first I took 2/day, but reduced to 1. In the last 5 years, since taking Theracran, I have had only 1 UTI. If I feel one coming on I take 2 and drink a lot of water and this takes care of it. I love this product.

I was constantly getting urinary tract infections. I have been using this product for three years now, taking 1 tablet a day and have not had a uti during that time.

I have had non-stop UTI's for the past 5 years. I was originally given this product a few years back and did not take it as prescribed and did not believe that it could work because nothing had in the past. This summer when I had a 2 week break from not having an infection I decided to start taking the product as a preventive. For the first time in years I was symptom free for 3 months straight. The one time when I did not take it as I should and had intercourse I sure enough got a UTI. I believe this product works and has been the only solution for me. (other than antibiotics which I do not like taking regularly due to ineffectiveness after long term use). Read More Read Less

I even came very close to needing hospitalization to receive IV antibiotic therapy on one occasion. My doctor has now put me on a daily dose of 100 mg trimethoprim to (hopefully) stave off future UTIs. I doubt that I'll continue taking Theracran as is it did absolutely nothing to stop my recurrent, painful UTI infections. Why bother taking something that doesn't do the job? I'm really disapointed that this semi-costly supplement didn't work for me as well as it seems to work for others. Read More Read Less

For over one year, I took Theracran along with a low suppression dose of macrodantin, as prescribed by urologist for chronic uti's. It did not work. I showed some improvement when I switched to 8 oz. of 100% cranberry juice (no sugar) and then showed dramatic improvement when I started taking d-mannose and no antibiotics.

I have chronic bladder infections. And recently I found out that I was allergic to the standard antibiotics to treat a UTI. I therefore didn't take an antibiotic, my Doctor suggested I wait it out and could use an IV antibiotic if it became necessary. Three weeks later, after taking 2 TheraCrans a day the infection was gone. I have been taking Thera Cran regularly now for 8 months and have not had a bladder infection since.
