I am 65 yrs old, have had chronic A-Fib for 30 yrs and was on warfarin. Kept having three+ hour nosebleeds. Was switched to Xeralto just over a year ago and have not had any bleeding problems whatsoever. Have not experienced any bad side effects and I am on a program where I pay only $10/month for the drug. And I like the fact I can eat all the green salads and veggies I want which you can' ... My father was on this medication for two weeks, we were really excited to leave Warfin and its frequent medical check ups behind. One morning he woke up with hives, swollen eyes and his throat was getting swollen as well. We called a nurse and she advice to take him to the ER for an allergic reaction. was on aspirin and atenolol then put on propafenone,took me of the atenolol take 2x propafenone now ,worked with the aspirin put me on the xarelto dont feel right after only one week neck and my left leg is swelling up my right hand hurts alot iam 70 going to call my doctor tomorrow after reading all the comments about xarelto want my aspirin back
