I went on Complera after being on Atripla for about 2 years. I have mostly the same symptoms and some more. My complaints have to do with severe insomnia, fatigue, hitching, dehydration, stomach cramps, acid reflux, sore joints, swelling, dry eyes, memory loss, poor concentration, heart palpitations, bloating/gas to name a few. I have NO mood disorders or depression. I have about one or two good d...

I was diagnosed with HIV early 2015. I've been on the drug since early 2015 my viral load went from 25000 to 150 and my cd4 from 636 to 1150. In just over a month of use. I didn't have any side effects. but One thing is that it does make you hungry, all the time and you will gain weight at first.

So far, this has been like a miracle controlling the diarreah. While I still have it somehow it is much more under control. I work and this helps. Previously I was taking eight pills a day.

One pill a day makes treatment easy to follow. I have been taking it for over three years and my lab results have been virus=non detectable and if I manage my stress levels the CD4 increases. However, I haven't been able to reach the 500 goal mark. Side effects are almost non-existence. My liver and kidneys have not suffered damage and I rarely get a cold or flue. I do keep a healthy life style as part of my responsibility towards my health.

Very good drug. When diagnosed I was on Truvada and Insestres but it was changed a year after, I have been on it and I have not had any side effects in almost two years but now I am noticing that my memory is getting bad and it is hard to concentrate. I do not know it it has to do with the drug as it is not a very common side effect. I am an RN and I see i used by many. I recommend it.

My doc recommended this medicine from the date of me being diagnosed. This is the only drug I have been taking since being diagnosed in 2012. I did gain a little weight in the beginning because the pill has to be taken with the biggest meal but I have cut down on the meal. I am due to see the doctor next month and will let know of the numbers at that time since I am undetectable at this time.

I was put on this drug as soon as it came out. I was taking 6 pills a day and was undectable. Complera has kept me undectable and my CD4 rose from 615 to 863. No side affects except the occasional night sweat. This is a wonder drug.

This medication gave me every side effect in the book: extreme unwarranted weight gain, sleeplessness, large mood change with depression, kidney decompensation, skin problems, gallbladder pain, and pain all over my body, all symptoms similar to drug induced hepatitis.

In 30 days my viral load went from 76294 to 1197. Just be sure that the meal you take it with is large enough. I ate a small salad one night and I had stomach discomfort until I ate something else and then I was fine.

7 weeks into treatment with complera I developed acute urticaria/skin problems. I am forced to discontinue using this drug. However, the drug works on improving one's CD4 n relevant blood quantifies.

I was taking an HIV cocktail of (TOO MANY)pills that required fasting and caused many side effects. My primary care Dr. was reticent to switch me to Complera even after I asked him to consider it. Then he retired. My new Dr. transferred to my care facility from practicing as an HIV specialist for many years. She immediately reviewed my entire history since my diagnosis in 1997 and ordered a bunch of lab work. Long story made short; she phased me off of the HIV med cocktails and onto Complera and it has kept my HIV undetectable and T-cells increased and stable since starting with it over a year ago. It's been a miracle for me!Read More Read Less

My two feet are numb, and I sweat like I got out of a swimming pool, but I'm still good. I'm just annoyed at times.

The only reason for switching from another once daily medication is due to its side affects. I have been on this new drug now for 4 days, and have notice a great improvement in my sleeping pattern and mood. I also no longer have the "hung over" feeling if I took my other pill to late at night.
