Smoker for last 15 years. Chantix worked very well. I found pretty bad nausea (no matter if taken with food, what times, etc.), but benefit was worth the nausea. Almost completed the second (continuing month), and don't feel the need to continue it - but will finish the program. I recommend Chantix to any smoker.

I smoked for over 54 years, nearly always 2 packs a day. I have been using Chantix Continuing box for almost 4 months and have been smoke-free for 7 weeks. I didn't think this would happen because I didn't want to quit, but needed to quit. If I can do it, so can you.

I quit years a go on my qwn, and it looks like I will have to againe. I started the the Chantix on the starter box and did great then when I started the 1 mg 2x a day I started being sick at my stomach and I had also started a new job and it was stressful I ended having to stop it, I am down to about 5 cigarettes a day, I will just do it on my own I guess. It didn't matter if I ate or not it still continued yo make me nauseated. Good Luck to anyone trying this

Severe side effects: dreams, taste, visual hallucinations, depression-anxiety swings, aching twitchy legs, headaches slurred speech etc. But right from the start, Chx certainly helped me stop smoking because I could no longer feel a buzz from a smoke. Now 3 mths after last smoke. Went onto half dose Chx a month and half ago, and had to stop Chx 4 weeks ago as side effects still getting worse. Now I have cravings but am not smoking. I am sleeping properly at last, but have had two colds and two flus since started Chx 4 mths ago. Looking forward to getting better. Read More Read Less

I have been a smoker for 30 years, have tried everything to quit. My Dr. told me to try Chantix and I was amazed. The GETQUIT Program help's you through quitting. They offer a discount on their web site. I did experience nausea when I took on empty stomach....Over all I am very pleased after completing a twelve week program!

This medication helped me to stop smoking. It did cause nausea and I had to take medication to stop the nausea. If I missed a dose or I was a couple of hours late taking it I would get a headache. Once I took the late dose the headache would go away. I am smoke free today and it was worth the side effects.

This is the second time using Chantix. First time stopped smoking for 4 1/2 years. Went back on my own stupidity because of stress. Been smoking for 16 months now and started Chantix 2 weeks ago. Already have lost the feeling or need for a cigarette. Haven't had a cigarette in over 48 hours. Having very minimal side effects so far. Good Luck to all that read this and are thinking of quitting!

This was my second attempt to quit smoking with Chantix. I wasn't really serious about it on my first attempt, but it was still helping. Now, 4 years later, I really was already tired of smoking, but just couldn't seem to stop by myself. I smoked my last 1/2 or less of a cigarette 4 days after starting the medication, which was actually 2 days before my set quit date. I don't actually miss smoking, but I do miss the breaks at work and talking with the other smokers. I would recommend trying to continue your routine, just dropping the habit; at least at first. I feel fantastic. I am 4 weeks smoke free, no longer having to go outside and away from my kids to smoke. I no longer constantly have that smell in my hair or on my clothes. I can be a full-time participant in the raising of my children, and will now be able to grow old with my husband (barring any other major catastrophe). I highly recommend Chantix to take the edge off, and help you put the cigarettes down. I will say the dreams have been a good source of entertainment. I will also say that I have experienced some pretty bad gas, but it has not been painful. It helps that my office is right next to the bathroom, so I don't have to offend any of my coworkers.Read More Read Less

I have not had any trouble with serious nausea, a bit of stomach discomfort but not bad. I still have cravings, but are controllable. The only problem Ive had is being spacey and not able to focus well. Feeling dumber than dirt, but at least Im not smoking, after 40 years!!
