Tamsulosin had far too many significant side effects: frontal headache, nasal congestion, tightness in chest, reduced strength and endurance during jogging, retrograde ejaculation, tender neck muscles, insomnia, nightmares, dry mouth, light headedness upon standing (need I go on?)

Doesn't work as well as flowmax. Obamacare is causing us to have to take crappy medicines due to cost.

Comment:
VA PCP originally prescribed Flomax which worked great. But as is the case where cost takes precedence over health, the VA Pharmaco clowns decided that I must take Tamsulosin HCL which makes me still get up at 3 or 4 times and still have near accidents during the day. What a joke.

I took Flomax but Medicare required that I take Generic so started Tamsulosin. It is not nearly as effective as Flomax in preventing having to go to bathroom at night and helping stream flow.
