years back i had a partial lobectomy(removal of part of lung). i came down with pleurisy(sic)recently and was experiencing unproductive cough.my dr.prescribed tussionex,after taking one (1) teaspoon my cough disappeared within 20 minutes. taste like weuthers caramel candy....great.

I have taken this medication at different times for coughing during the night. My doctor prescribed it a few years ago for severe coughing, which worsened at night. It made me drowsy, I was able to get much needed rest. I noticed lots of people are saying it makes them feel drowsy throughout the following day as well.
