It stopped the cough, but If I take it too late at night I feel groggy and sedated the whole next day.

I have Sjogren's Syndrome. As a result I have an uncontrollable dry cough. This drug was prescribed for treatment and is the only drug that works to prevent the cough. It coats the throat and other pulmonary areas to help prevent the cough reflex. Only the brand name works. The generic Hydrocodone-Chlorpheniramine does NOT work the same. It also makes you drowsy.

I think this is the best cough medication made. I allows you to sleep through the night and when you wake up you ( for myself) wake up and cough up massive amounts of phlem, which is outstanding as it is not supressed in the lungs and/or bronchi-
