I have had year-round allergies for about 10 years...sneezing constantly, itchy and watery eyes, sinus congestion, can't smell or taste a thing when I have them. Since taking this(in the morning before work), I haven't had allergy symptoms since. It is kind of expensive, but I save a few bucks using the generic brands, and it works the same. I also drink about a gallon of water during the day, a...

I was told by my doctor to try this for a chronic cough. It has helped a little but, I have not been able to sleep for three days now. I will never take this drug again!

I have been taking Claritin-D or the Cs generic for several years. If I do it take it for a few days, my allergy. Symptoms become progressively worse. I have no issues with this medication. My only complaint is that CVS Pharmacy recently stopped discounting it with a prescription card, increasing my monthly out of pocket cost to over $41. Before January of this year, it was routinely $29 a month for a 30 day supply.

Ummm I took this at 9 pm. Slept from 12:30 tossing and turning all night. It’s 3:30 I’m wide awake. Eff drugs. Might as well have smoked a bowl of meth. Disgusted.

It works great. But I prefer the 12 hour claritan D because seems like taking the 24 hour I have a hard time sleeping. But try the 12 hour in the morning works all day and then I am able to sleep.

I took this first thing in the morning each day for 3 days and never really slept. Felt wide awake all night and didn’t realize it was the Claritin causing it until I googled these side effects which are not listed on the box… I also had extreme loss of appetite, very bad dry mouth, heartburn, dry skin, and flushed face. I had no idea this could happen with over the counter allergy medicine. Helped with the allergies but will never take this again.

I have to have it. I cannot breathe without it. I have taken it for years, take when I first wake up. All the others do nothing for me. I always get the name brand unless I can’t find it at local stores.

I have common cold symptoms. I asked the pharmacist what I should take (Tylenol severe cold and flu). He recommended 24 hour Claritin D. I took it yesterday at 1:30pm it is now 8:00am the next day and I am shaking, restless, and exhausted. I didn't notice these side effects until 10:30pm when I wanted to go to sleep and couldn't. I was panicking and finally looked up the reviews. I really wish I would have BEFORE I TOOK IT. While my symptoms are better. My overall body and mind is worse.. I don't think I'll take this again. It's a damn miracle drug. I went from totally unable to breathe through my nose and constant sneezing/nasal drip to total relief within 30 minutes of taking 1 pill.

Effective but side effects, e.g., jitters, difficulty sleeping, aggravation of IBS-C. Stopped using after one day. I'll live with my stuffy nose, thank you.

This has been life changing for me. Prior to taking Claritin D, my brain was foggy due to all my allergies and congestion and I woke up with terrible headaches from congestion. Everything else I tried made me drowsy. So I had to choose between drowsiness and brain fogginess and both symptoms affected my job performance. I feel like myself again which I hadn't in three years. The only thing that is tough for me is the price; even with manufacturers coupons, it comes out to a dollar a day. But I'm not going back to fogginess and headaches. Read More Read Less

I've tried taking this twice throughout my life, and both times I ended up throwing everything I'd eaten that day up, usually 3-5 hours after. For a few years, I was convinced it was the sandwich I was eating! I believe I had some sort of rejection...a few hours after seems odd, though.

Loss of appetite and trouble urinating. Dry mouth. Other than that it worked very well.

Was looking for a relatively inexpensive option to treat my seasonal allergies. Claritin 24 hour does nothing for me! Still have congestion, itchy, watery eyes, and sneezing all the time. Would not recommend.

I got all the side affects and did not like the after feeling. It did lighten up my headache but the side affects were not worth it.

I will never take this medication again. It does a good job of relieving cold symptoms and I get through the day just fine but it keeps me awake ALL night no matter what time of the day I take it. I've taken it at 5pm when symptoms started and was awake all night. I skipped a day and took it at 9am so it would not affect my sleep. It is 3am next day and still awake. I just trashed the remainder.

I did spend thousands of dollars visiting clinics specializing in allergies and none were able to cure my allergies until one of my clients told me about Claritin D and now I am free of seasonal allegies. No side effects at all .

I might as well have taken a sugar pill. I was interested due to the lack of side effects, but nothing happened, good or bad, and I was just as full of mucous as prior to taking the medication. So, no side effects. No effects at all.
