Went to Doctor for general exam. Was asked if I wanted a flu shot. I get the flu shot every year. Went back to work after 3 hours I noticed my arm was extremely sore, hot, and achey. In 3 days I had a temp of 101 chills, headache, muscle aches, coughing. Look at the papers given at check out said type of flu shot was fluzone high dose. By day 5 was extremely sick called Dr. they said take Robitusin. Finally went to ER. I could not breathe and diagnosed with pneumonia. Given breathing treatments, antibiotics, prednisone. After a week I came home but still had trouble breathing. It is 3 weeks later and I am still having symptoms. Have not returned to work as of yet. Now they say my liver function test is low and must see a different Doctor next week and get a stomach scan and another chest xray. I always did have asthma that was more than under control at the time of this flu shot. I am 62 years old and do not understand why I got this high dose shot without even being asked if I wanted it. Of course now the Dr. office says they didn't give me this high dose shot. I just hope I have no long term health problems from this. One thing that bothers me is I was totally healthy before I got this shot and I hate being used as a guenie pig.Read More Read Less
