for the lipid problems i take lovastatin. had to take it originally while taking actemra which caused the higher lipid levels too

I have severe RA and nothing has worked until this. My joints feel better and I can climb stairs which I've avoided doing when I could. However the side effects I've had are HORRIBLE. My lipid panel was fine until this drug, my lipid panel is now off the charts which is really bad. Second I've gained about 35 lbs in two months while on this drug. I noticed relief from symptoms within the first couple of weeks and others noticed how well I was doing. I feel better than I have in over a decade. I am on plaquinel methotrexate and have tried several biologic. I found infusions difficult because I was so fatigued afterwards I had to have someone drive me home. I've only been on this drug for 17 days. While my joints definitely feel better, the side effects so far are HORRIBLE! Headaches, heartburn, constipation, constant hot flashes, fatigue, and depression. It has taken me 10 months to finally get to my goal weight, and while I haven't changed my diet or exercise, I'm struggling to stay where I was. I can see me easily gaining weight on thi ... diagnosed RA 2009 been taking hydroxychlorquine for 3 years with gin soaked rasins this kept me in remission except for once or twice flare a year. June of 2013 flares and stiffness increased, started Xeljanz 1 week ago and right away gave me relief. day 8 had some stiffness, but day 9 better. only side effect is some chest pain on right side comes and goes when working out. will report back w ...
