I'm 22 and I've been taking Chateal for about three months now. So far no scares. this is my first time on birth control because my boyfriend and I thought it would be a good idea. On the plus side my periods are lighter and my boobs are a size bigger, but the downside I'm a complete crazy person. One second I'm happy the next I'm bawling my eyes out and scaring the ever living ... Show Full Comment

I asked Planned Parenthood for help regarding my moods, and Chateal was what they insisted so I had immediately switched from Ortho tri-cyclen to Chateal. The first few weeks went fine and then came my first period, and I experienced terrible mood swings. I was sure that it was because I made a switch and it was the transitioning stage, but as I never felt so down before, I was confused and became ... Show Full Comment

I started this medication in June, and I have been an emotional wreck ever since. I cry everyday for no reason and I feel depressed and sad about everything. I even told my friend that I don't feel like myself. On top of my severe mood swings, I ha ... Show Full Comment

I've been on chateal for about 6 months. Overall, it hasn't been pleasant. The plus side is that I haven't gotten pregnant, my periods are shorter and lighter, and my cramps aren't as bad. However, I've had horrible mood swings (more so when I first started taking it), I find myself depressed and anxious frequently, and I've been getting horrible breakouts/rashes on random ... I received a supply of this pill from Planned Parenthood this past November and began taking it after my next period. I had no problems at all the first time around, but ended up traveling to Alaska and staying there for a few months, leaving my supply of birth control pills behind. Anyway, I was off it for a few months but was looking forward to going back on it because I don't like condoms ... Show Full Comment
