Diagnosed 10/2001. Been taking this for 11/2 weeks. Only a little stomach upset but I do take after eating. Also slight flushing on my face. But much less than with Copaxone. Hope to continue. Have taken other meds and developed allergy after a year.

I have a very mild case of MS. I've taken almost all the shots out there since being diagnosed in '97. I've taken this for a year. The first month my stomach was pretty upset a lot but that subsided. I found if I take it before I exercise really hard, I get more flushed. No other side effects. This has been such a blessing because I had almost stopped taking my shots and skipping them ... I was diagnosed November 2013 and this is the first drug prescribed. The first month of taking it was unbearable. I was nauseated, severe emesis, sick with severe abdominal pain, and generalized malaise. It was difficult to conquer while working a full time job. Nothing seemed to alleviate the discomfort while I was going through this but was aware it most likely wouldn't last. Fortunatel ... Show Full Comment

the first 2 months I gave it a try. I was so sick everyday from stomach pain I had to go on the half dose. I was in so much pain plus lived in the bathroom I could no longer leave the house. After going on the half dose I still get the flushing which isn't bad. The half dose make it a new deal for me. I do say this has been a good thing for m.s. people. Just be ready to be sick as anything unt ... Show Full Comment

I've been on Tec for 4 months now. Only side effects were flushing three hours after taking it and that lasted for about 1 month. Minor stomach upset for about 1 month also...barely even noticeable --now gone. Better than taking daily shots of Copaxone. Grateful to have this medication and the patient assistance program.
