I was switched from my previous birth control, Loestrin Fe, to this drug. My doctor told me it was very similar, and I trusted her. The reason i was put on Loestrin was to avoid weight gain due to an eating disorder, and let me tell you, Minastrin Fe has given me so many problems. For one, I've been on my period for over a month. Almost two months of 24-hour a day periods, cramps, nonstop. It ... Show Full Comment

I was switched to Loestrin 24 fe by my OB for shorter lighter periods. It was theeeee worst birth control I have taken yet. I constantly spotted in between my periods. I was nervous to start Minastrin after reading some online discussions, but I just finished my first pack and I have experienced no different symptoms than I did on Loestrin. I went directly from Loestrin to Minastrin without any break, and I followed all instructions on taking it properly. I take the ... Show Full Comment

No different from loestrin for me except that I lost weight.. My cravings subsided and I never feel bloated any more.. I don't like that I have to chew it at least it doesn't taste bad.. Sometimes I get lucky and not have a period and some months my period comes for a day..

I had a my son ten months ago and stopped bf so I decided it was time to switch my bc from a safe bf bc to a normal bc. My periods have always been consistent even after I have birth and while I was bf. I am 4 days away from finishing the first pack of minastrin and I'm already experiencing the side effects everyone else is. I started my period on Monday and have had diarrhea, nausea, bloating ...
