I have been on Minastrin since November when they discontinued Loestrin 24 Fe. At first I didn't feel any difference between the two until January. I began to have blurry vision between 2 and 5 PM, gaining more weight, my boobs went from a D to a DDD it felt like over night.(Yeah, try carrying these bad boys around all day.) My first complaint about this is the terrible acne I've had since the switch. When I read other women's side effects I'd have to agree with all of it. I'm very displeased with this new pill.

I was on Loestrin Fe for 6 years and was switched to Minastrin in November when Loestrin was discontinued. I have terrible acne, nausseau, stomach pain, weight gain and feel tired most of the time and I have not had a period since I started this medication. I like just about everyone else switched to Minastrin after Loestrin was discontinued. I was told it was the same thing but experienced DRAMATIC side effects directly after starting it. I had breakouts on my face, shoulders, and arms. I have experienced weight gain. I am a 45 year woman who has been on birth control for over 20 years. After loestrin was discontinued, I like many was switched to minastrin as the replacement. My biggest concern is my blood pressure is reading very high. I'venever had high bp, in fact am more likely to be on the low side.I find myself fatigued more often than usual.
